Duties of Current Occupation

50+ years of experience training riders & horses of all levels, overseeing daily management of an "AA" boutique show barn, importing & selling of horses, clinician & "R" USEF judge.

Equine Work Experience

I have been in the horse business since I graduated from Denver University in 1973. I have worked for private families taking them from beginners to National rankings. I have owned Matchmaker Equine Inc since 1992 with strong national success from short stirrup through Indoor Championships in the hunters and then moved on to major Jumper success in such places as WEF, Tampa Invitational and on. I love horses beyond written explanation. I have a sixth sense of picking out prospects that went on to win major National championships. I can match a rider with a horse or pony better than most. Horses have a true sense that they know I love them and consequently they reach out to me to help them!! All good!!

Specialities

I am known for being a passionate, enthusiastic instructor. I love to teach & challenge my riders to help them improve, gain confidence & have fun along the way. I take great pride in the care of the horse, often taking an unhappy, thin, and poorly muscled horse and turning it into a beautiful athlete. I am well known for matching the right horse and rider combinations, whether they are children on ponies, equitation horses, or adults on hunters and jumpers as well as developing young prospects.

Type of Ride Work

DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY MY AGE! I am young at heart and keep up with the best of them. Use my knowledge and wisdom because I have worked with the cream of the crop in the industry for the past 50 years! I can teach any level from novice hunters to medal/maclay to 1.40M.

Competition Details

Extremely competitive in any circle..from pony club to schooling shows to USEF "AA" top of the top!
