I have only completed safe sport classes. I would be interested to complete more equine related classes but have yet to do so.
Duties of Current Occupation
I work on the retention side of a major insurance business. I make my own schedule and work as much as I would like. I plan to keep this job on the side. I work with clients making sure their life insurance is comfortable and finalized.
Equine Work Experience
I don't have a YouTube page but do have many videos on my phone I can send. I ride in the jumper world and have little dressage experience but do know the basics. I have been riding since I was 3 years old. I started in Dressage, then did saddle seat for a few years and then transitioned to hunter/jumpers and have been showing jumpers ever since. I have been a client in a professional program and have helped out but not officially worked in a position and gotten paid for it.
I do have experience with foals and stallions. I have experience leading a team. I was team captain of my equestrian team in college for two years. I have experience with turnouts and bringing horses in, with feeding and specialties with supplements, changing of blankets and or flysheets. I have love being organized and tidy. I do have experience with mucking out stalls.
Type of Ride Work
I have experience with a wide variety of horses. I have experience with young horses, green horses, problem horses, hot horses, and lazy ones. I have experience with therapeutic horses and programs. I have experience with horses coming over from Europe and thoroughbreds coming off the track. I have little experience starting horses but am very good at earning a horse's trust. I am very patient and have a light hand and light seat.
I have been competing since I was little in saddle seat and in hunter/jumper competitions. I have worked as a groom for myself growing up. I have helped organize competitions in college when we would host horse shows and along with getting my own team signed up and everything organized for shows.
