Qualifications
Currently studying horse health fundamentals and principles online with the Equine Health Institute.
I have read some books on the subject and I watch a ton of YouTube how-to videos on how to care for and maintain horses because this lifestyle interest me.
Duties of Current Occupation
I repair anything that needs fixing. I maintain clean and safe work facilities. It involves self-starting and a lot of self-reliance.
Equine Work Experience
I have not worked in a professional equine setting. Though my Great aunt and Uncle owned horses I would help out on their humble ranch from time to time.
When my great uncle passed and my aunt got sick I helped care for their property and animals for some time. I know grooming basics, I have fed, walked, and bonded with a few dozen quarter horses in my lifetime.
Ranching is in my blood even though I was born far too late to be part of my family's prime farm life.
Specialities
I am skilled with machinery and hand tools. I have fence-building/mending experience.
Avid Outdoorsman, can build fires, cook, and have some pack/tack knowledge.
I grew up around older horses, have stall maintenance experience, and am very handy with a shovel! I am not afraid of hard dirty work.
I specialize in customer service since my occupations have always revolved around helping people. I have experience reading a team and experience being self-reliant.
Type of Ride Work
I have basic riding knowledge, I've rode a decent bit as a young boy but have not had the opportunity to ride in many years.
I am not afraid to learn new skills and I also have a strong understanding of the emotional side of the majestic creatures.
most of my horse experience has been around older horses not fit to ride.
Competition Details
I have not been in any competitions but have spectated many events. My great uncle and his sons were barrel racing champions, roping champions, and bareback bronc riders.
I have it in my blood and would love the opportunity to show my grit.
