From 2005 forward I have been mostly self employed, involved in rescue, rehab and adoption/sales of unwanted horses, mostly OTTB's. This gave me a lot of experience caring for underweight and injured equines.

Short term position Squaws Landing (MI) TB farm as an exercise rider/groom for horses coming in from ChurchHill Downs for the season.

*Currently enrolled in online equine care & management courses thru UC Davis, for certification.

Management/sole charge/groom

Been involved with horses off and on since age 8, when I taught myself to ride and took the pony I had trained by reading books to local horse shows, never leaving without placing in the ribbons. Taught myself the ins and outs of equine nutrition, picking up tips along the way from respected horse people, and have a knack for returning horses to health and/or maintaining hard keepers through proper feeding and care. Experience with million dollar racehorses, show horses, as well as the rescue/rehab project horses previously listed. Equine first aid experience, IM/IV injections, hoof soaks, bandaging, grooming, wound care, etc.

Detail oriented: I pay attention to the horses in my care and notice signs of colic or other sickness/off behavior/injury and act accordingly.

Management/Supervisor/Groom. Extensive work with equine rescue, rehab, bringing horses back from neglect, grooming, lunging/round pen, medication administration IV/IM , Riding: self taught, Western and hunt seat.

Teaching experience. Prefer to instruct adult beginners.

Capable on most mounts.

5/4/23 Currently have PT position at 45 horse facility here in Georgia. Feed, turning/out. Available for grooming/riding.

4/8/2023....I am currently riding for a woman who recently broke her arm, keeping her 2 show hunters fit and properly cared for. This assignment should end around the middle of May 2023.

Local shows in VA and PA from age 9-14. Stopped showing at age 14 when I outgrew Cricket. My parents were not horse people and wouldn't support furthering my equine pursuits. That's what lead me to the Care/Rehab side of things, riding when I have had the opportunity. Have had a lot of multi-discipline ride experience. No regrets.
