Qualifications

Licenced foreman in Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, West Virginia , and Maryland.

Duties of Current Occupation

Building confidence and training horses for races, and maintaining fitness in current race horses. Along with managing grooms, riders, hot walkers, and maintaining a healthy team environment.

Equine Work Experience

I grew up around the race track, most of my experience is with thoroughbreds, although I have along the way handled show horses, broodmares, stallions, and foals. I've done everything from hot walking,to grooming, to riding, to being a foreman. Being a foreman I've assisted with vet work as well as administered oral, and IM medication, held for x-rays, and jogged horses for flexions and soundness exams. I've been lucky enough to learn from some of my favorites, Diane Morici, Juan Arriagada, Jose Corrales.

Specialities

Experience in grooming/ handling foals, stallions, broodmares, and race horses. Working as a foreman I have experience leading a team, and work well in team environments. I take direction well, and am overall a people person. I pride myself in my grooming abilities, and love to keep a horse turned out his best. I can muck stalls, give meds, take temperatures, check legs, keep inventory and overall pride myself in keeping a nice barn, and a happy team.

Type of Ride Work

Working with race horses, we work a lot of young, green, uncertain horses. I pride myself in building confidence in these young prospects along with their fitness. I began my thoroughbred riding career in Ocala breaking two year olds. The last two years I have been working as an exercise rider at various race tracks, riding many different ages and ability of horses.

Competition Details

Working with race horses I've been lucky to handle and experience the pressure of competing regularly in races.
