I am halfway complete with an associate degree in Equine Business Management. Relevant coursework I have taken includes Horse Production (EQM 1051), Equine Reproduction (EQM 1058), Equine Evaluation (ASC 2045), Equine Practicum (EQM 1088), Public Speaking (COM 1150), Computerized Accounting (ACC 1025), & Agricultural Salesmanship (AGB 1020)

At the hunter/jumper barn I worked at, I coached and trained students in basic care and maintenance of horses and stables in addition to riding technique, form, and skills, assessed student needs to develop effective training plans, handled weekly clients, prepared horses for riding, competitions, and shows to condition animals to perform at their best, rode and schooled performance horses at shows, monitored the overall health and well-being of 12 horses, paying attention to signs of concern, monitored and reported trainee progress, introduced new learning tools to address individual needs, and delivered instructional presentations on equipment use, focusing on efficiency and safety.

I am a very passionate and hard-working individual looking for a job I can dedicate myself and my time to. I ride both English and Western, though my background is mainly English riding. I have worked for a hippotherapy practice, and for 4 years I worked at a hunter/jumping boarding/lesson barn. At school, I have worked with yearlings, 2-year-olds, studs, and broodmares. I turn out to a very high standard and I pride myself in my patience and diligence while working.

I have experience in halter-breaking young horses, but I have not started a horse under saddle. I focus mainly on flat work and core skills, and I have a lot of experience in natural horsemanship and groundwork. I have shown in hunter/equitation in the past but not a whole lot due to personal preference. Despite this, I have extensive knowledge of the hunter/jumper show world, as well as most AQHA disciplines. I have worked at many shows, including WEF and WEC in Florida.

Most of my experience involves working as a groom/assistant while attending shows with clients. I have been to WEF, WEC, and many other rated shows in the state of Florida. At school, I have done a Ranch Trail pattern and a Ranch Riding pattern at shows that my class organized and put on.
