Qualifications
I have not completed any equine related courses but am more than happy to complete certifications.
Duties of Current Occupation
Having wonderful customer service abilities, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, team work, continuation and development of knowledge.
Equine Work Experience
I grew up in the equine industry. From doing IEA as a child to competing throughout regional circuits, I was taught early on how to do everything on my own. I grew up in Chicago and rode with Red Coat Farm for years. After, I moved to Somerset Sporthorse with Tiffany and Tammy Walker and later Woodland Equestrian with Jamie Waters, now known as JW Dressage. In 2017, I moved to Florida and have been with Robin Cyr at Cyr Point Stables for 5 years. Then, I moved my horses to our home property and began training and riding at home in dressage with Chris Kellogg. For the 2022 winter, I moved my horse and I back up to Chicago to train with my previous trainer, Jamie Waters and Tom Poulin. In Spring of 2023, we moved back down to Florida and went to Kilner Eq. with Liz Kilner.
Specialities
Have worked with stallions, mares, foals. Used to farmsit for a variety of private barns in Oviedo area- also for Robin Cyr with Cyr Point Stables. Maintain a clean workspace (can include stalls, pastures, arenas, etc.) Good flat work foundation as well as over fences. Can relate to younger generations and can simplify instructions in a way that children can understand (visually as well)
Type of Ride Work
Throughout my riding experience, I have ridden various types of horses. I've ridden schoolmasters, problem horses, young horses and green horses. Most of my experience and 'expertise' is in flatwork and over fences. Back in 2021, I bought a coming 4yr. Westphalian that was 30 days broke. He is my investment horse and problem youngster. To this day, he is still my biggest challenge and achievement.
Competition Details
I have competed in NIHJA, IEA, 4H, etc. Growing up we did not have the financial ability to compete across USEF but rode with many USEF barns. Would go to shows on my own and bring my own horses- would do everything myself including stalls, watering, feeding, grooming, tacking up, bathing, bandaging, etc. Brought my youngster to WEC for a week to school. Was there at 4am everyday to feed, water, clean stalls, etc. and was at the show grounds until 11 pm for night check.
