Qualifications
I am in my third year at the University of Florida, and I am majoring in animal science with an equine focus. I have completed coursework that includes Horse Enterprise Management, Equine Nutrition, Relationship of Form to Function in Horses, Horse Psychology and Training, and Equine Health Management.

Duties of Current Occupation
Feeding herd of 50+ horses at equine facility. Working with broodmares, foals, and stallions. Basic farm chores, cleaning stalls, and maintaining turnout areas. Basic health care, like giving shots, bandaging, and giving medications when needed.
Equine Work Experience
I have been working around horses for over 15 years. I have experience riding and showing various disciplines including western pleasure, ranch riding, and english pleasure. I have worked at small boarding facilities that specialized in show horses, and large equine facilities of over 50 horses that specializes in teaching students and breeding mares. I know basic horse first aid including bandaging, wrapping legs, and administering medications, shots, and vaccines.
Specialities
I have worked with horses of all types, including show horses, broodmares, foals, weanlings, yearlings, and stallions. I was a member of 4-H for 8 years, and learned a lot of leadership skills through the program.
Type of Ride Work
I mostly ride western, but I do have experience riding hunter horses and some experience jumping. I have a lot of experience working with green/ young horses, and I have experience with starting a horse. I have also worked with some problem horses in the past.
Competition Details
I have been showing horses for over 10 years; I have shown at local open shows, AQHA shows, and 4-H shows. 4-H shows include local county shows, to regional horse shows that include 13 US states. I am also a mamber of the University of Florida's western equestrian team, and I have competed at several IHSA shows. At these shows, riders are assigned to show a randomly drawn horse.
