- Accommodations required if traveling outside of the Wellington, Florida, Palm Beach County area. Looking for full time work preferably, 12 months a year, or at least during winter/summer show schedules.
Qualifications
50 yrs old, extremely hard worker, and private individual. Gets along well with others, show experienced; management and provisioning experienced. Medical background, have worked at equine emergency hospital practice. Willingness to learn any procedural treatments, familiar with ISO, ICU, and contamination containment protocols. Quick study, and excellent horse handling, very trainable.

Duties of Current Occupation
All horse, rider, tack, barn duties required in a show barn. Experience traveling competition circuit for a number of years in Hunter Jumper, but have groomed at a dressage barn. Looking for a permanent position doing circuit, have current passport
Equine Work Experience
Horse anatomy; lameness, administer meds, supplements, treatments, injuries, preparing for transport, needed supplies and stocking/packing/moving equipment.
Lunging, trotting in hand, Horses without ground manners and safe and proper horse handling. Cold hosing, soaking, removal of proud flesh, and wound care.
Deep tissue massage in treatment of fluid retention and reduction in tissue swelling. Ordering and maintenance of stocking supplies, tack and required equipment for shows and competitions. Feed, turn out, stall rest, grooming, hoof care, testing and treatments/wraps. Equine stretching/flexibility and changes in behavior.
Though I have not intubated a horse, I have been present while its done and am willing to learn all procedures that would enable a vet to see as many horses in a day as possible. I am not at all squeamish, and desire to learn all that I can to expand skills and be a strong team member.
Sole care comfortable for 6-10 horses. Highly organized no drama
