Qualifications
A Livestock Management course at UConn; this taught us about nutrition, management, and applications of large livestock including equine. We also worked with a veterinarian from Tufts on numerous calls related to the equine and cattle.
Duties of Current Occupation
Farm Manager: 4-H Education Center; Maintained Equipment, produced hay and other vegetable crops, cared for livestock such as cattle, sheep, swine, and equine. Managed a team of 6.
Ag Teacher: Maintain school equipment and teach mechanics.
Equine Work Experience
Yes, some through my time as farm manager and some through my fiance's horses. She has two horses, a Paint used for shows and a Friesian who is still young and in training.
Specialities
Worked with large livestock including sheep, equine, swine and cattle. I have experience with injections and other applications of medicine. I have worked with veterinarians, farriers and other industry specialists. As farm manager I have lead a team of 6 individuals to complete farm tasks.
