Qualifications
While I do not have specific equine-related qualifications or courses I have taken, I have lots of practical knowledge from on-the-ground learning. I know the basics of equine first aid, care, warning signs, and how to treat colic or other diseases. I have experience holding horses for medical and farrier appointments. In Florida I acted as a groom, getting horses ready for rides and making sure they were clean, and in the correct equipment. I know how to wrap polos, standing wraps, and others.

Duties of Current Occupation
As a student, my duties include attending classes, studying diligently, upholding integrity, balancing activities, respecting all, seeking help, and contributing to my community, all while fostering a lifelong love for learning.
Equine Work Experience
I spent my five years as a Working Student at a Dressage-focused barn in Central Vermont called East Hill Farm, I immersed myself in caring for horses. From feeding to mucking to grooming and riding, I learned the ins and outs of equine care. Summers were full-time, and part-time during the school year. In addition, I spent a winter season in Wellington, Florida, experiencing top-level horse care and training with the traveling part of my barn at Bespoke Farm under Ruth Hogan Poulsen. I received lessons that taught me so much throughout all of my time at both places, in addition to conducting training rides, hacks as rest day activities, and lunging or other skills when necessary. During this time, I developed my riding skills under experienced trainers, learning the nuances of Dressage. Each moment spent caring for and riding these magnificent animals fueled my passion for equestrianism and shaped me into a better horseman.
Specialities
Due to my past experience as a working student in Dressage Barns, my experience is related to dressage training and quality horse care. My specialty lies in understanding each horse's individual needs, ensuring their well-being through personalized care routines, and supporting their development in dressage with a compassionate approach. I am dedicated to the greater care of the animal on top of just the training. In addition, my love of the sport makes me eager and easy to teach.
Type of Ride Work
I have experienced different types of horses, but most have been primarily in the dressage discipline. I have tuned up many different lesson horses and gotten them sharp to aids again, ridden problem horses that have issues going forward and need someone other than their owner to get on, and also a couple of extremely well-educated schoolmasters as well. I have limited experience over jumps, but experience over poles, and am willing and eager to learn anything I can.
Competition Details
I have shown on the local circuits in Vermont through First Level in dressage. When doing this, I got first place and overall high scores for the season multiple times, across multiple shows and at the year-end awards too. I also have experience helping people show, braiding, and getting horses ready, as well as generally being familiar with the format of the shows.
