Biology coursework, horse handler volunteer, vet tech/asst experience both small animals and equine

I have worked with and around horses for almost 20yrs. This has included feeding, grooming, and general handling. I have witnessed varying conditions such as suspensory bow injuries, navicular disease, colic and abscesses. The bulk of my experiences can be attributed to my many leases over the years as well as my own ownership. I currently own an 7yo OTTB stallion whom I have restarted from his previous racing career. Prior to that I have managed several Arabians, Percheron, Mustangs, and TBs. I spent most of my time over the last year at rescues in Fountain just hanging around most of the feral horses as I find a great comfort with them. Its also where Ive leased a mustang in the past. I have also had mild therapeutic and ground training through the Remount Foundation on USAFA where I have spent over a year working with horses of varying temperaments and skill level for both myself and the horses benefits. Majority of the horses I have had the pleasure of handling were green.
