I am currently enrolled in a course to become a certified equine massage therapist. I am Safe Sport certified, as well as certified in Animal Disaster Response Training, to ensure horses' safety during natural disasters or evacuations. I have experience working with Theraplates, walkers, equine treadmills, and salt spas, and know how to ensure a horse's safety while they are benefiting from these treatments.

I've worked as an assistant trainer/ rider in two locations, The Village in Cherry Hills, and North Woods Farm at the Colorado Horse Park for a combined 6 years, and spent 4 years working as the sole hunter/jumper trainer at Oak Meadow Farm in Solon, Iowa. I have experience developing brand-new beginners, as well as refining the skills of advanced riders who have gone up to 3'0" under my instruction. I've also assisted at hundreds of shows, both in the capacity of a rider (catch riding, schooling, etc) and a trainer (coordinating entries, dealing with multiple clients at multiple rings, etc).

I have a strong baseline of experience with young horses. I also have some experience with stallions, though that was in my teens. I've also worked closely with a barn manager to ensure the health and safety of the horses under my care and monitored horses who are injured as well, from colic surgery to pulled tendons to minor cuts and scrapes. I like to keep a clean barn and ensure that the aisle, tack boxes, and public areas, such as the arena, are all well-kept.

I have been riding since the age of three, so over 20 years at this point, and spent about two years in dressage and cross country. My main focus has been hunter/jumper. I've shown up to 3'0", and ride at home up to 3'9", with plenty of capability to go higher. I also have experience working with and developing young horses, as I've assisted in the development of around 6 young horses, with the youngest being 3-4. I've done training rides for things from chronic rearing to lead change training.

I've been a groom and rider at hundreds of shows, from local CHJA shows and IEA shows, to A-rated shows. I personally have shown up to 3'0". I am extremely familiar with how they are run and the processes involved in showing.
