I am a fourth-year student at UC Davis seeking a full-time, stable managerial position in the equine industry. I am majoring in Animal Science and Management with a minor in Communications, and I currently work as an Equine Nurse at the UC Davis VMTH
Qualifications

-Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Management (Equine Emphasis) at University of California, Davis. -Equine and Camelid Nurse at UCD Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH) in which I gained hands-on experience in equine and camelid patient care and medical administration within a teaching hospital setting

Duties of Current Occupation

I work as an equine vet assistant/nurse at the VMTH at UC Davis. I have worked as stable hand at various equestrian facilities I was an instructor and coordinator for YMCA children's summer camps.

Equine Work Experience

Over 11 years of riding experience with a strong foundation in dressage. Additional competition experience in hunters, jumpers, and Western disciplines.

Specialities

As an equine nurse I work with foal watch mares and help them through gestation and foaling. I also have extensive experience handling young foals.

Type of Ride Work

Primarily trained and showed Arabian horses, with competition experience on a wide range of breeds including Arabians, Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, Ponies, and Warmbloods.

Competition Details

Trained two young Arabian horses, competing in Western Dressage. Show experience includes dressage, 3’ show jumping, and hunters. Also competed through the IEA program.
