Duties of Current Occupation

Equine Work Experience

I began riding at age 8 and trained for 8 years across two academies in Southern California. At Kathleen Elliott Equestrian Academy, I was paired with Tuff, a leased horse known for being difficult - one nobody else wanted to handle. Kathleen trusted me with him because I didn't back down from a challenge. We trained together towards dressage competitions. When Tuff was sold, I lost my riding partner and shortly after stopped riding at 16. But that passion never left me. I am ready to come back home.

Specialities

Experienced working with multiple breeds including Arabians and Thoroughbreds. Comfortable handling horses of varying temperaments and energy levels with a calm, patient approach. Experienced in high turn out environments during youth equestrian camps managing multiple horses safely. Trained in English dressage and western disciplines. Groundwork and handling across all experience levels from green to seasoned horses.

Type of Ride Work

Primarily trained in English flatwork and dressage at training level, developing correct rider position, rhythm, and horse responsiveness. Also trained in western riding disciplines. Comfortable riding horses of varying temperaments and energy levels, including strong willed and difficult horses. Experienced riding multiple breeds, including Arabians and Thoroughbreds across both structured arena work and general riding.

Competition Details

Earned ribbons competing at the Riding Academy in Menifee, CA during formal training. Participated in youth camp competitions and events including games and activities with horses. No large scale competition experience however I was actively training toward dressage competition before stopping at age 16.
