Eager rider and former horse owner looking for work in the Southeast Florida area/ West Palm. I have been around horses my entire childhood and am looking to gain experience in the equine industry now that I am older. I am a quick learner, easily able to adapt, and have a natural passion for horses.
Tons of experience! I've worked with many top trainers over the years to perfect my riding skills. But training horses comes from actual hands on experience; it's not something you can learn from a text book (or a video)! Every horse is different and they all learn differently, so being able to adjust your training methods to suit each horse is so important. In addition, I also have over 3 years collectively of sole charge barn management experience.
I’ve been riding for 30 years now. Started training professionally when I was 18 and had my own training business from 2002 - 2009. I worked at a breeding facility, starting 3 year olds under saddle. I also had numerous individual client horses - starting babies, working with behavior issues and turning greenies into finished show horses. Had several H/J and Dressage clients that I campaigned at local county and rated shows. My main focus was in the Jumper ring, competing up to the 1.10’s. In Dressage, competed at training level with scores in the 70's. 2009 I decided to take time off to spend more time riding my own horses. I've since trained many of my own investment horses and some horses for select clients. The last few years I’ve gotten back in the show ring, competing my own project jumper - placing up to the 1.10’s at AA rated shows and winning at local county shows up to 1.20’s. Another recent project horse of mine, I’ve competed 1st level Dressage with scores in the high 60’s.
Hunter/ Jumper, Dressage, breaking/ starting under saddle, solving behavioral issues.
My objectives: Achieving an unmistakable understanding and effective communication with every horse I work with and helping students achieve the same. I believe that Dressage basics are the key to effective riding, in EVERY discipline. Achieving balance, suppleness, responsiveness and a partnership are they key ingredients to successful riding.
Hunter/ Jumper, Dressage
Numerous childhood championships in Hunters and Medal classes. At pro level: Jackpot jumper winnings. Placed in the money in a $500 1.10 Mini Prix. Placing in Jumpers up to 1.10 at AA rated shows. County show top placings up to 1.20. Training level Dressage championships. 1st Level Dressage with scores up to 68%
