Qualifications
More than anything I have a all-in, can-do, positive attitude, always eager to learn, and a great team-player and communicator. Experience is relative, right? In some places I am a total expert, in other places I am a total beginner. Depends what's going on, and what's needed. But even thought I'm an "older" kinda ranch hand (51) I approach work with humility and curiosity. That said, I do have a lot of experience, and often am solely responsible for taking care of lots of stock on my own.
Duties of Current Occupation
General ranch hand, mule packing, horse shoeing, horse development, backcountry cooking, trailering stock, leading rides and multi-day trips, general maintenance, helping out however possible.
Equine Work Experience
Grew up with horses so was exposed from early start, but only got back into horsemanship in 2013, full time, totally dedicated. Since then I have lived and worked full-time on ranches in Argentina, Nicaragua and USA -- Montana, Wyoming, California. Basic experience with cattle work, advanced experience in most aspects of guest ranching, including extensive experience with mule packing and leading multi-day pack trips in remote back country.

Type of Ride Work
My riding is basically "ranch practical," long days in the saddle, doing what's needed to get the work done -- whether cow work, pack trips, or guest rides. I've been training and working on more "finesse," for which I have a great interest, but my riding is fairly basic. I believe that every ride, no matter what, should be about helping develop the horse, keeping them sharp and engaged, refining rough spots.
