As far as horsemanship, I have intermediate training in natural horsemanship. This training occurred while I was helping a family friend rescue two horses and a pony - it was during this time that I fell in love with horses.

While I have not worked in a professional equestrian environment before, I do know much of the basics of horse and stall care and I am comfortable around horses. What I do not know, I am willing to learn. As with any job, learning is required.

My work experience has mainly been focused in operations, management, and team building. I have worked in a variety of fields, giving me the opportunity to hone my communication style and learn how to work with many different people and teams. These experiences have contributed to me becoming confident in leadership and team roles.

I have intermediate riding experience, mostly in western style. I have worked with problem horses before, although they are not my expertise. My horsemanship philosophy mainly centers around relationship and trust building. I will usually work to build a suitable bond with a horse before I start riding it, both for my safety and the horse's.

I have competed once in a neighborhood riding games competition. I didn't win, but I had fun.
