Duties of Current Occupation

My family and I are planning our moving to The East Coast by October. I am hoping to fina a long term position that is live in and has a reasonable schedule.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding and caring for horses since I was 12…and I mean showing up to the barn rain or shine to feed, clean, and exercise 10 or so horses 5-6 days a week. I have worked on a few different ranches primarily riding and training horses. I have experience with a variety of breeds from TWH to PRE and everything in between. I am comfortable handling and working with horses at any training level and age, including young horses, stallions, horses with little to no training etc. I provide top notch care no matter what I do, I am a very hard worker who is consistent and committed to providing the best care and handling for any horse.

Specialities

I spent 3.5 years working my way up from apprentice to assistant to a USDF gold medalist trainer and judge who specializes in rider biomechanics and classical dressage. I got to ride and handle a variety of horses, primarily PRE horses, from schoolmasters to starting youngsters. I have my bronze medal in dressage and feel confident teaching horses the basics to have a solid foundation in dressage.

Type of Ride Work

I started out riding gaited horses so have a lot of knowledge and skill with TWH, fox trotters, Rocky Mountain horses, and have ridden quite a few Icelandic's. I also spent a lot of time training horses on trails, building their confidence away from the herd, getting them used to bikes, hikers, cars, etc. I have led a few trail rides and worked summer camps, I love working with children and beginners.

Competition Details

I have competed in gaited horse shows and dressage competitions. I received my USDF bronze medal in 2023 and completed my scores in a year.
