When I was 27, I moved to Orange, California, for an assistant groom position at Cimon Equestrian farm (combined driving/dressage) where I quickly earned Farm Manager of the 12-horse, 3-acre property. I oversaw the feeding, riding, turnout, grooming, farm/riding equipment maintenance, and helped care for the family's dogs and cats as well. I also directed a team of 3-4 interns in helping exercise, safety, counseling and home management.

Specialities

From 2014-2016, I led a team of 2-4 young interns while also managing a boarding house for the interns while living on the property. I have worked with stallions, males and geldings... Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses, Friesians, Irish Drafts and Irish Sport Horses. I also earned my colors in the Hickory Creek Hunt in North Texas, in 1997. I also served as a team officer and competitor for the Berry College Equestrian team, in both English and Western, from 2005-2007.

Type of Ride Work

Thoroughbred, Quarter Horses, Warmbloods, Irish Draft, Irish Sport Horse. Across dressage, equitation, show jumping, cross-country, and assisting in combined carriage driving.

Competition Details

I competed in three-day eventing up to the US Training level from age 16-18. From age 10-16, I competed in English equitation and show jumping events at a local level in North Texas while often engaging in hunting with the Hickory Creek Hunt and helping show/tend to the foxhounds under the tutelage of the huntsman.
