I've volunteered for 5 and a half years with wolves and wolfdogs at two sanctuaries located in Acton, CA. I started at Wolf Connection in the summer of 2019, and then transferred to Apex Protection Project at the start of 2022. Wolf Connection runs programs helping at risk youth, veterans, and recovering addicts through the teachings and experiences of wolves, while Apex focuses on the conservation and advocacy of wild wolves.

While I don't have too much equine experience, I've ridden horses but never learned to ride. Until a few years ago I'd only been on horseback a few times in my life. In 2021, my mom bought a horse for the first time, and I've since spent plenty of time at his stable, mucking, brushing, and socializing him. I have some experience with these aspects of horsemanship, but I've never learned how to saddle or bridle a horse. I have a great love and admiration for horses however, and have simply never ridden more because of the cost.
