Each summer at my dad's friend's ranch, I’ve gained valuable hands-on experience in horse care. The ranch has a total of eight Quarter Horses, two of which came from a difficult background. I’ve had the opportunity to observe how they train them, helping them become more comfortable and improving their overall well-being. When with the horses I feed them, provide fresh water, clean their stalls, and ensure they receive the proper nutrients and vitamins to maintain their health. I’ve learned how to properly bathe horses by following a specific routine that keeps them calm and comfortable. I have learned how to properly groom, including brushing the coat, mane, and tail, as well as cleaning their hooves, regularly checking for damage, cleaning, and ensuring they stay in good condition. I also know how to properly tack a horse, ensuring that all equipment is secure and comfortable for the horse. I know how to warm up a horse before riding.
