I am completing my Bachelors of Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Management this Spring (May 8th, 2021 is Graduation) while also having completed a semester abroad in Limerick, Ireland with their Equine Science program.
I primarily clean stalls, provide general health care, breed, foal, and provide pasture rotation for the college's and 3 people's personal horses.
Equine Work Experience
I have been working at the Equine Center for 4 years now. I am employed through the college, as well as 3 personal boarders. I primarily work with our thoroughbres breeding stock as well as off the track quarter horses. At the same time, I am in my final semester at Arkansas State University where I am earning my Bachelors of Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Management. I also had the opportunity to further my studies while studying abroad at the University of Limerick, Ireland in their Equine Science program. I hope to continue my growth and knowledge of the equine industry with my career.
Worked with foals, stallions, broodmares, and young horses in training. Also I know basic medical care for horses.
Type of Ride Work
I have some experience with riding, mostly flat work and a little jumping. I've only been riding for 4 years, so I still have a lot to learn!
I have completed in non rated, online shows through Facebook such as Covid-19 online horse show. I have also competed in Saturday night shows though North East Arkansas Horse Show in their hunter under saddle class.
