Duties of Current Occupation

I have great people skills and customer service. I am very client focused and find great joy in making lasting connections with people.

Equine Work Experience

I have been around horses since I was 6 years old. I took lessons on other people's horses till age 15 when I got my first horse. Since then I have worked at multiple farms and boarding facilities. I have done all basic tasks needed on a farm//boarding stable including being the sole caretaker of a large boarding facility while the owners were out of town. I have cleaned stalls/paddocks, cleaned waterers, turned horses in/out, filled hay bags, helped with elaborate feed schedules including mixing grain for 25+ horses all on different diets. I have done basic grounds keeping. I have worked in harsh weather, snow and ice to hot summer days. I know basic first aid, how to pack a hoof and apply stable wraps. I know how to braid for shows, clipping for shows as well as seasonal body clipping. I have working student experience where I regularly schooled 3-4 horses a day.

Specialities

Young horse handling, leading and turning out multiple horses at once. Body clipping a variety of styles, mane pulling, braiding for shows, equine first aid, standing wraps, packing a hoof, tack cleaning and maintenance.

Type of Ride Work

I have not ridden in 3 years but I am anxious to get back to it and am confident I can get back to the skill level I left off at. That being said, I started dressage and jumping lessons at age 11. I am a confident English rider on the flat and over low fences. I have experience at first level dressage at both schooling and rated shows, I also have beginner novice eventing experience. Before my break from riding I was confident on the flat and jumping up to 3' both in the arena and out.

Competition Details

I have done unrecognized beginner novice eventing. I have also competed through first level dressage both rated and schooling shows. I know how to use a stud kit, I also know braiding for dressage and eventing.
