Equine Work Experience

I started off my equine career as a seven-year-old child in El Paso, Texas, where I was the youngest working student in the company. Because of family connections with the lead trainer, I was able to secure my spot at such a ripe age. I worked by cleaning tack, the tack rooms, organizing, grooming the horses and prepping them for shows and events. I would also exercise the horses and cool them down for their owners before lessons. In exchange, I was given in depth training on jumping. I took a hiatus in high school from riding, but I came back to my passion as an adult. In my adult years, I have worked as a wranglers and trail guide as well as an equine therapist for individuals with substance abuse or PTSD at a licensed equine wellness facility. I am currently the ranch manager for a small family farm where I oversee the day to day activities for five horses, one donkey, six dogs, 12 chickens, 3 rabbits, and five goats.

Specialities

I excel at starting and refreshing horses. I have a cosmopolitan background in writing from Polo, to rodeo to jumping and endurance and more! I’m always looking to learn more. I am getting my barefoot trim certs soon!

Type of Ride Work

I absolutely love trail rides, and endurance! I also love Polo, jumping and eventing. I appreciate barrel, racing and other fun aspects of the western world.

Competition Details

As a child until my teenage years my life revolved around competing. The majority of the events were for hunter/ jumpers but I also did several rodeos.
