Have worked full time on yards since I was 16, mainly competition and livery. Assistant manager of 50 horse yard. Have worked for three and a half years with para dressage to improve my dressage skills. In charge of staff and all day to day and seasonal running of the yard, horses and clients. For the last three years I’ve been running a 30 horse competition livery yard, riding, teaching and all managerial duties and working with the pointers and young racehorses.
Competition horses, fitness and training, rehab and therapy, equine first aid and recovery.
I have ridden for all of my life, again mainly competition horses, am interested in all areas of training and schooling. I am a very keen learner and pick up new things quickly. I love to jump, but am passionate about schooling and training on the flat, particularly the rehabilitation of older/injured horses, both from the ground and ridden.
Numerous one day events, several three day events, and I groomed at the young riders European championships in Portugal in 2004. Competed my own horse up to pre novice, many shows with para dressage including overseas Groomed for Team South Africa at London 2012 Paralymipcs Competed an owners horse at elementary BD, including qualification for regional finals, training at medium. Competed and trained an owners horse intro eventing and hunting. Working at medium/ adv/med at home.
