Equine Work Experience

My main experience is in polo (12+yrs) working with a range of 2 - 7goal professionals, in England, NZ and Australia.

Fully competent and trustworthy in sole charge of the yard, I am confident in the daily management and organisation that goes into it. I am very interested in vet care as well as feeding programmes and am always keen to learn and apply more understanding to my jobs.

I have spent several winters working on private hunt yards, exercising, galloping, jump schooling as well as turnout for hunting, ie clipping and plaiting.

I have worked at a trekking yard, taking charge of rides, teaching basic riding for novices and children. I worked with international event rider oct 2011 - march 2012 as second groom. My duties including mucking out, feeding, grooming, clipping, lunging, hacking.

During childhood and teenage years, i show jumped and showed at low to county levels frequently often competing friends horses. I also hunted regularly and took part in Pony Club

Specialities

Fast and adaptable to any situation, I am a quick learner and calm under pressure. Polo has taught me to move quickly and waste no time, multi tasking is no problem!

I am competent and confident at dealing with young ex racehorses. In England, NZ and Australia I help to retrain ex racehorses for polo.

I can plait, trim, clip, lunge, school and pride myself on having very high standards of turnout.
