Duties of Current Occupation

Equine Work Experience

I have worked with professional riders and breeders privately all of my working career. I have worked for the same family also. Why? Well why not! Firstly I was happy there, secondly they train really well and really thoroughly, thirdly I actually got to ride some amazing horses both showjumpers and dressage horses including stallions, younger and older horses. I studied at college a HND in Sports Horse Performance and Management before taking up my final position as a yard manager/head trainer. I am a great friend and I am loyal, I'm not young and unattentive to people or horses! Im a 38 year old man with my head really screwed on. I have a great sense of humour and work well either by myself or in a team. I am available to work on most yards, I am also happy to work on private yards.

Specialities

High Standards of turnout, being on time, working with all types of horses, experienced in managing and leading a team, keeping a tidy yard and organised team. Enjoy working outside, enjoy schooling and training Horses, enjoy watching others achieve. Taking pride in the horses and the yard. Loving other people's horses like there actually mine! Keeping a neat and tidy tack room, with clean tack and everything organised. I am also good at the normal yard chores.

Type of Ride Work

I have Ridden many different types of horses, from young and green to old and wise, further more I have seen them grow and become amazing dressage horses and showjumping horses. I have also been lucky enough to see a few cycles of life and been there to welcome new life into the world foaling down some of the mares in the stud later in my career. I have then been able to raise them and start them off in their careers also before watching them go off into the world.

Competition Details

Many.... In fact lots.... I competed at HOYS, Olympia, Ribbons and Dreams, Royal Windsor, Yorkshire Show, to many dressage competitions to list, and many showjumping competitions alongside that.
