Duties of Current Occupation

My past job roles as a Groom included: Tacking up, untacking, Lunging, Long reining, Backing, Feeding, Riding, Hacking, Jumping, Yard maintenance, Show prep, Exams.

Equine Work Experience

I have over 20 years of equine experience, I studied at Hadlow college for four years where I gained relevant qualifications. I have owned horses, I have run my own family DIY yard, competed in unaffiliated competitions, loaned horses, worked on top showjumping / dressage yards, ridden competition horses, backed young stock, participated in riding lessons leading children and adults.

Specialities

I have worked with foals, stallions, broodmares, mares, geldings. I have led a team during my 4 years of education spent at hadlow college as an ED2 Equine student. My role was to instruct students, supervise them on a yard, give them tasks, make lesson plans, demonstrate tasks and teach riding / lunging / jumping lessons. I have husbandry skills which include trimming, bathing, grooming, plaiting, clipping and bandaging.

Type of Ride Work

During my time at Hadlow college I was placed in the highest riding group which allowed me to ride a variety of horses and be challenged more. I was also able to ride competition horses and youngsters I enjoy flatwork and jumping. I received a Distinction for riding horses in the open,

Competition Details

At Hadlow college I participated in running a show which I received a distinction for. I have competed unaffiliated with my previously owned horses and hadlow horses. I have worked for 5* Eventers.
