Equine Work Experience

Years of experience and travel has brought me into contact with a variety of horses from different ages, breeds and level of training. From breaking horses, introducing them to the first day hunting, to their first shows and all the way up to preparing them for Nation Cup events. Trail guiding taught me alot about the qualities needed in a horse that a stranger was to ride for an hour or perhaps for a week - assesing suitable horses and desirable characteristics and then matching them with the rider.

Specialities

I am a very experienced groom. 25 years working mainly with show jumpers but also with polo ponies, racehorses, trail riding and riding school. Show jumping would be my main area of expertise. Have groomed at top events in Europe and USA, Global Champions Tour, Winter Equestrian Festival Florida (6 seasons) Spruce Meadows, Canada, Nation Cup shows in Vancouver, Hickstead, Zagreb, Dublin, Ocala. I was a trail guide in France, Spain and Agentina

Type of Ride Work

I ride well but have done so infrequently in my past two positions. Able to improve or maintain fitness levels. Would need some time in the saddle to restrenghten my flatwork and jumping skills. Confident to ride all types of horses. Small enough for ponies but strong enough for horses!

Competition Details

Groomed at major shows across Europe and USA including WEF, Spruce meadows, Global Champions Tour. Rode in national competitions with young horses that I produced in Ireland.
