Qualifications
I don’t have formal equine college qualifications, but I have extensive hands-on experience and strong work ethic. I hold a degree in Philosophy and a Master’s in Art History (Italy), and I’m fluent in English and German.
Duties of Current Occupation
I currently work full-time in Sweden at an Icelandic horse ranch. My responsibilities include daily grooming, stable work, feeding, groundwork, lunging, preparing horses for clients, riding (dressage and jumping), and assisting with trail rides.
Equine Work Experience
I’ve been working with horses daily since early 2022. I started riding in Kiruna Ridklubb (Sweden) and continued with a focus on jumping. Since January 2024, I’ve been working full-time at Ofelas Icelandic Horses. My experience spans grooming, handling, groundwork, and flatwork. I also served as a Board Member of the Kiruna Ridklubb from 2023–2024.
Specialities
I have worked with young horses, including backing and groundwork. I’m comfortable handling sensitive or spirited horses. While I haven’t led a full team, I’ve trained new staff and worked independently with high responsibility. I’m used to high-turnover environments, especially during touristic peak seasons.
Type of Ride Work
Flatwork, basic dressage, and jumping up to 90 cm. I’m currently training young Icelandic horses and have riding experience on warmbloods as well.
Competition Details
I haven’t competed myself, but I am very interested in showjumping and would love to gain experience in a competition yard as a groom or rider support. I’m reliable, observant, and calm around horses and people in high-pressure environments.
