Since I was a child I have always wanted to work with horses, but since it is a very expensive sport I was never able to do it. Last year I discovered that there was the option of volunteering to work in exchange for room and board. I found a horse farm in Portugal and I decided to go for 3 weeks. There they taught me everything I know about horses, it was my first experience with them. I liked it so much that the following month I decided to go back for another 3 weeks. My main tasks were to clean the stables, prepare the horses for the lessons, wash them and put them away at the end of the lessons, feed them, clean the material... In exchange for working I was also taught how to ride a horse for the first time, it was an experience I can't wait to repeat, I really enjoyed it.
