Qualifications
I am a qualified Sports Technician in Equestrian (Level 1 and 2) in Olympic disciplines, with training and experience in dressage, show jumping, and eventing. This qualification has given me solid knowledge in horse training, rider development, and stable management, allowing me to work safely and effectively with horses of all levels.
Documents
Duties of Current Occupation
I have around 10 years of experience working as a riding instructor in Spain, mainly in well-established equestrian environments, teaching beginner and intermediate riders and being involved in the day-to-day running of riding schools.
Equine Work Experience
I have over 10 years of experience working with horses of all ages, from foals and young horses to adult stallions. My experience includes daily care, handling, groundwork, riding, and early training for young horses, as well as preparing competition horses up to 1.15 m. I have worked in well-established equestrian environments, managing stables, turnout schedules, and feeding routines. I have also led small teams of 2–4 people, supervising stable tasks, mentoring staff, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and professional environment for both horses and riders.
Specialities
I have experience working with horses of all ages, including foals, young horses, and adult stallions. I have been responsible for their care, handling, and early training, always prioritising safety. I have led small teams of 2–4 people, organising turnout, stable routines, and coordinating care. I enjoy guiding staff and creating an efficient, professional, and collaborative environment.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden my clients’ horses over the past years. In flatwork, I have worked with horses from classical dressage up to Intermediaire I (San Jorge) level. In jumping, I have ridden show jumpers up to 1.40 m. All the horses I have worked with were carefully selected for their good temperament, as they belonged to clients and were bought with the intention of being reliable, safe, and pleasant to ride.
Competition Details
I have not worked as a groom for riders, but I have extensive experience taking riders to competitions as their trainer. I have guided my students from their first competitions up to 1.15 m, helping them progress and gain confidence. I really enjoy the competitive world of equestrian sports and being part of it as a teacher, supporting both horse and rider to develop and perform at their best.
