I am an active, hardworking and passionate young woman looking to establish herself within the equestrian community. I may currently have limited qualifications but I am willing to start from the bottom to learn all that is necessary.
Duties of Current Occupation
Serving customers, doing bar stock take, preparing drinks, opening and closing of the restaurant during my shifts, cash up at the end of night shifts, organising shift lists for the week and training new staff members.
Equine Work Experience
I have been riding for the last 15 years and have received my Western Province colours for dressage and equitation competing in the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (SANESA). In previous years I worked at my riding school, The White House Stables, as a yard assistant on weekends and school holidays. My duties would involve catching ponies and horses, tacking them up, assisting new riders with mounting, helping instructors in lessons if need be and giving pony rides to young children. I also offer to look after horses while owners are away on holiday. I exercise horses and give daily feedback to owners. I also work as a camp leader at my yard for Pony Camp and aid instructors in large group lessons, teach camp goers theory lessons such as how to tack up, groom etc.
Type of Ride Work
I have been taught to ride in the English fashion and I have mainly been focusing on disciplines showjumping, equitation and dressage although I am always open to learn new discplines.
I have recieved my Western Province colours through SANESA (South African National Equestrian Schools Association) in the disciplines equitation and dressage and made first team for both disciplines in 2015.
