I am a keen aspiring groom who has been working with horses on a voluntary basis, and am now looking for a full or part-time opportunity to progress my career and gain more experience. I am confident around horses and have been developing essential skills through volunteering at a livery yard and with a rescue. Ideally, I would be looking for a role in the Basingstoke area while I'm learning to drive, but happy to consider a live-in position in the wider Hampshire region or further afield.
My name is Daisie, I am 18 years old and have owned horses for the past 5 years. I have previously worked on an international showjumping yard and am keen to pursue my next job. I am open to any discipline and able to adapt to every yards standards and needs.
I teach riders of all ages, from beginners to experienced. Also train horses and assist with general yard duties and take care of injured/ ill horses.
Currently working at a very high standard yard in South Africa. It is a polo as well as English yard. I grew up in this type of environment, assisting my previous coaches with teaching and competitively bringing on horses since the age of 9 with no fear.
I have massive experience with green horses and getting the best out of them. Also have experience working with foals. Although not part of my job description, I have had to lead our team of 20+ grooms successfully on numerous occasions when yard manager is not on site. High standard is the only standard I go by.
I have experience in breaking horses in, working with green, young and aggressive horses. Show jumping is my speciality, but train a lot of flat work as well as that is a key note for a successful jumper.
I entered the show-ring when I was seven years old and immediately fell in love with the thrill and competition. I have successfully competed ever since and have also organised shows for the yard I am currently working at.
