Duties of Current Occupation
Ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly, ensuring all staff are providing the best possible service for our customers, and ensuring all customers are happy and enjoying their experience.
Equine Work Experience
Over the last 20 years I have worked with many different horses, competed in a multitude of disciplines, at many different levels and learnt to deeply understand and connect with the horses I have crossed paths with. I have owned and ridden an off the track Thoroughbred for the last 10 years, and prior to that I owned a Boerperd pony for 5 years.
Specialities
I worked as a performance rider at Monte Cavalo Lusitano Stud farm, bringing a mare back into work and showing off said mare and her foal at a horse exposition. This opportunity allowed me to work with foals, youngsters (first time halter training, first time backing, lunging, first time boxing, and just generally teaching the horse to trust), stallions and mares. Through this experience I was also exposed to the world of Artificial Insemination and semen collection, which I found fascinating!
Type of Ride Work
I have competed at Eventing, Show Jumping, and Dressage with my Thoroughbred over the last 10 years. Prior to that, I competed in Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage and different Showing classes with my Boerperd pony. I have worked with the Lusitano breed at Monte Cavalo Stud farm, ridden Warmbloods owned by a few friends, and worked with many different ponies growing up before I found the perfect horse to call my own.
Competition Details
I have competed in Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage and Showing at different levels. I have not worked at a competition yard before but I do feel I would grasp what is needed to be done fairly quickly as I have been at horse yards and competition grounds my whole life. I have not professional worked as a competition grooms, but same feeling applies that I will be able to grasp the job fairly quickly as I have helped many friends at competitions, acting as their groom.
