Equine Work Experience
For the last three years, I have been working on a cattle ranch in South Africa. I have a passion for horses, and agriculture and a keen sense of adventure. I wish to explore the world a bit more, before coming back to SA one day.
My key responsibilities included:
Equine management and training: feeding, grooming, training, health checks, dipping, vaccinating, and treatment of injuries of all the ranch horses.
Beef cattle general management: herding cattle on horseback, tagging, dipping, dosing, and vaccinating cattle.
Field guiding and hospitality services: managing groups of ranch guests on ranch retreats and taking them cattle ranching on horseback.

Field guiding and hospitality services: Managing groups of ranch guests on ranch retreats and cattle drives. Along with general cattle management, this has been my main line of work for the last three years. I am good with hosting people, especially guests, as well as leading a team into difficult terrain to perform a job, i.e. herding cattle.
Type of Ride Work
I've started several young horses, and enjoy working with challenging or "problem" horses and helping them. Most of my riding experience includes endurance, trail, adventure, western riding, and mounted stock work. I enjoy groundwork, and use natural horsemanship practices in my training.
