I did a working-student programme in Australia the past 6 months. I cleaned out yards, fed horses, re-started horses, gave medication to those who need any. I also took care of horses that where in for surgery recovery, and many more.
I rode horses from the age of 3. I competed in nationals at the age of 7 and continued pleasure riding ever since. I also did a working-student programme in Australia for 6 months at Saltriver Horsemanship / The Horsemanship Institute. There I learned more about equine wellness as well they have an equine wellness centre also. I worked closely with Kellie and Heath Stewart as well as some of the Vets at Murdoch University.
I am a very confident rider and good at adjusting to fit every horse as an individual. I can also start colts and work with whatever horses present to me. I am good at reading horse expressions and work with nature, not against it. I am also very good at giving injections such as IV's and IM's. Horsemanship is very high on my values and I therefore thrive at working with horses.
Mainly my riding work consisted of restarting ex-racehorses and getting colts confident in riding out in the bush as well as stepping over obstacles and doing jobs required of them. I can also work cattle and sheep with horses.
I did not really compete recently apart from Saddle Bred show horses when I was seven. I won second place at Nationals in South Africa.
