Own riding experience
I have lived on a working farm all my life and have been exposed to horses on a daily basis. I am responsible for the horses' upkeep when it comes to rotational grazing, feeding, medical first aid and general and competition grooming. I have been exposed to and handled difficult, young and inexperienced horses. I school and train my horses and regularly exercise them with specific and strict workout schedules.
I am a hard working individual who is readily available and willing to assist in all situations when it comes to the well being of the horses. Being enthusiastic and passionate about horses ensures that I always value their needs and handle them with the utmost care.
I have competed in English mounted games, showing, show jumping, equitation and eventing for the past 6 years and am familiar with the rules and regulations of the competition circuits. As I took part in eventing shows, I was forced to expose my horse to difficult and challenging obstacles for the cross country phase, which I did by riding in our forest plantations. My style of riding is English as this is how I was taught to ride, however I am not opposed to other riding styles.
I have show jumped up to 90-100cm in competition and have evented up to 90cm - for which I achieved provincial recognition. My dressage/equitation and showing levels are intermediate.
