I have completed the first 3 modules of certification through the Equestrian Qualifications Authority of Southern Africa.

Daily horse care, riding, volunteer hosting, barefoot trimming, exercising horses, guiding of trails

I have been working with horses since a very young age and used to own my own horses. I have now been professionally employed and working with horses since I was 16 and seeing that a fair amount of my work has been in remote areas of Africa, where veterinary care may be hours away, I have needed to up my skills on identifying and treating various injuries and illnesses. I am able to work independently with horses but also understand the importance of working as part of a team.

I am individual who is extremely proud of what I do and thus my workplace is always neat and ready for when next one of my team members or I need to work in the environment again. I frequently deal with guests for day rides, or longer Trails. I also delegate various tasks to my team of fellow employees and volunteers on a daily basis. I have worked with various breeds of horses in the past and have dealt with animals of all ages and sexes.

In the last few years of professionally working with horses I have dealt with an array of horses, from preparing young horses for their first ride to dealing with those that have been neglected and abused, so that they once again can trust humans. In my younger years I was crowned show jumping champion on a national level for a few years in a row and at present mainly deal with flat working of horses. I have experience in English, Western and Trail riding styles.

In my younger years, before starting to professionally work with horses I took part in various competitions, as well as the organisation thereof. A list of achievements is available on request.
