I have taken the following equine courses at Iowa State University: Animal Science 216 Animal Science 317B Animal Science 415 (will be taking Fall of 2023)

I have not worked in a professional equestrian environment that is outside of Iowa State University. During my time as an undergraduate student at Iowa State University, I worked at the ISU Horse Barn, located on the main campus, for 18 months, as well as to work at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine Equine Wards for four months, and will return back in the Fall Semester to continue working there. Furthermore, I will be working at SK Horses, located in Estes Park Colorado, over the summer, to gain more equine and equestrian knowledge, over a period of three months.

I have primarily worked with foals, thoroughbred and quarter horses. I have also worked with multiple other breeds of horses during my time working at the ISU CVM. I do have experience leading a team. I lead a group of 10 individuals to be able to hold the MWS at ISU in October 2022. I do turn out to a high standards, as well as am quick at mucking out and keeping a tidy yard.

I have primarily ridden English and green horses, but I also know how to ride Western and Paso Fino horses, that had some trauma in their past. I do a lot of show jumping, and took a course at ISU on flatwork and training yearlings. I have some experience in starting a horse, at the foal and yearling ages.
