Duties of Current Occupation

I worked as a certified riding instructor and trail guide, teaching beginners and intermediate. I used to be a caretaker at equestrian camps. I also gained customer service experience in a tourist bike rental shop.

Equine Work Experience

I’ve spent many years working around horses as an instructor, trail guide, and horse owner, so I’m very comfortable both in the saddle and on the ground. I taught beginners and intermediate riders, helping them feel confident, learn basic dressage figures, and try their first small jumps. I often took groups on relaxed beach and forest rides, choosing the right horse for each rider and keeping everyone safe and comfortable. I know stable work well: grooming, tacking up, mucking out, feeding routines, checking tack, groundwork, and lunging. I’ve also worked with young horses, helping them become more balanced and focused. Having my own horse for years has taught me to notice when something feels off, handle basic health issues, and react quickly in urgent situations, including giving simple injections when needed.

Specialities

I have experience working with foals and young horses, especially with basic handling and groundwork, but I haven’t worked with stallions. I’ve occasionally led the team after rides when the stable owner was away, making sure everything ran smoothly. I’m used to fast-paced environments and stay organized and calm when things get busy.

Type of Ride Work

I enjoy all-round riding but feel most at home doing flatwork and dressage basics. I like helping horses move softly and stay balanced. I’m also comfortable with small jumps and love trail riding in different terrain. Groundwork and lunging are part of my routine, especially with younger horses.

Competition Details

I haven’t competed or worked as a competition groom yet, but I learn very quickly and feel confident I could handle this kind of environment. I’m well-organized, calm under pressure, and used to working efficiently around horses.
