Equine Work Experience
Began riding at age 7; progressed quickly to advanced training Competed regularly in regional and national competitions (2017–2021) Owned and prepared two horses (one pony) for dressage and jumping Independently rode a 9-year-old horse with only 3 months of experience under saddle, requiring calm, confidence, patience, and a light hand Assisted friends with horse care and preparation for competitions
Specialities
I have led trail rides in the forest (Teen Ranch Scotland), including many solo rides and rides with friends. I am experienced in performing all pre-competition duties, as I have previously ridden competitively.
Type of Ride Work
I prefer working as a rider and am eager to gain further knowledge and experience to become a professional one day. I have primarily been a show jumping rider, but I also have experience in flatwork, hacking, and basic dressage training. The first horse I owned (not a pony) was a 9-year-old with only three months under saddle, which required me to be calm, confident, patient, and ride with a light hand.
Competition Details
I have competed with my own horses, preparing them for dressage and jumping. I also assisted friends with all necessary tasks, including:
Cleaning, brushing, washing, and cooling down horses
Braiding mane and tail
Preparing saddle, bridle, and other tack
Helping riders with saddling and mounting
Assisting during warm-up and competition rounds
Checking horses for injuries or soreness
Applying leg wraps or cooling sheets
Organizing and maintaining equipment
