I have learned to ride in English style, but I have ridden some Western style. I can drive a horse.
Duties of Current Occupation
I am currently working as a substitute teacher and as a substitute care taker of disabled and/or old people. I occasionally work with refugees and troubled children (mainly in the summer season). I have a bachelor degree in political science.
Equine Work Experience
I have owned two horses, both trotting horses. One Norwegian Coldblood and one Fjordhorse. I have had seven horses on full loan. The breeds varied; I had a Friesian, two Icelandic horses, and four Warmblood trotting horses.
I have worked some weekends at a farm that cooperates with the Norwegian child protective services. In one weekend there were approximately 15 children who stayed at the farm. The farm had 25 horses, both mares, stallions, geldings and foals/yearlings.
At the same farm as mentioned before, I have helped trained trotting horses.
I speak and write English and Norwegian. I understand and can make myself understood in Swedish and Danish. I Do not speak french, but I am eager to learn. I understand some Spanish.
I love working with people, and I love animals.
I love learning new things, and I am a quick learner. I am not afraid to ask questions when needed. I work well both independently and in teams.
