Equine Work Experience
I have been around horses my entire life. I started riding and competing at the age of 3 in New Zealand in the lead rein classes and then continued to compete until I went over to Canada at 19 to groom for horses from 1.10- to 1.50m Grand Prix, including some FEI classes. When I came back to New Zealand I groomed and rode for a World Cup rider, horses ranging from 4y/o to Grand Prix. Helped with starting his young horse as well.
Specialities
Competition Groom, have done a little bit of FEI grooming in America. Rider, have been riding since a very young age and competing all across New Zealand. Flat riding horses in Canada and America.
Type of Ride Work
Mainly flat riding, I have jumped a little and up to 1.10m. I did dressage at a younger age but then just carried on in the flat classes in New Zealand. I have started many of my own ponies and horses. I have ridden trouble, green horses and then Grand Prix horses. I’ve ridden stallions and comfortable with that.
Competition Details
I have competed for a very long time and if I’m not competing I have help other people compete , getting horses ready, warming up horses.
