Duties of Current Occupation

Managing and Coaching riding lessons for students ranging from beginners to advanced.

Equine Work Experience

I have been coaching and managing horse riding lessons at Tauranga Riding For the Disabled for over a year now. I work with children up to 15 years old, ranging from beginners to more advanced. I have never groomed professionally before as I have always been competing/showjumping myself for 7 years. However I have knowledge in this area as I have to plait, muck out, clip, bandage my own horses and am very willing to learn and gain more experience.

Specialities

I pay very high attention to detail and love to turn out my horses to the absolute best, presentation means a lot to me. I am quick when it comes to mucking out and tidying yards.

Type of Ride Work

I have been riding for over 16 years as I have grown up around horses. I have lots of experience with young, green and naughty horses, and have always produced my own. I major in showjumping and have competed to 1.30m on self produced horses. I have been showjumping for 7 seasons since 11 years old. In winter I love to take up hunting which I have done since 8 years old. I have flatwork lessons once a week and know how to correctly school a horse.

Competition Details

I have competed in showjumping for 7 years. I don’t have any experience working as a competition groom but I know what goes on behind the scenes. I turn out and do everything for my horses myself. I can plait, muck out quickly, clip, groom, trim manes etc. I pay high attention to detail and like to present my own horses to a very high standard.
