Currently, I'm working at a high-end dressage stable, which is mainly a livery yard, but we also have a few sales horses. I perform al yard and stable duties, turn out horses to a high standard and occasionally train the sales horses.
At the age of 8 years old I started horseback riding. After high school, I spend 2 years at the equestrian school NHB Deurne in the Netherlands, during which I interned for a variety of training stables and riding schools. After this, I went to University, during which time I kept riding and competing with my own horse, and partook in international student riding competitions. The last year I've been working at a dressage stable as a groom/rider.
My goal is to gain more experience and knowledge in training horses and riding in eventing and showjumping. I'm looking for a position that involves a lot of riding, in which I could train and compete with my own horse. It's important to me that used training methods are fair and horse friendly, and that my horse can enjoy lots of turnout all year round.
Experienced in riding and handling different types of horses and ponies, including young horses and stallions.
