I am an official first aid medic at Brakke Grond in Amsterdam, I got the diploma last april. I can ride horses from young to old. I can work well together with other people and try to bring out the best in every situation and I always strive to be assertive and busy.
I work as an actor, a singer, and teacher within the fields of the arts. The only way for me to work is through auditioning, except when it comes to teaching. The main duty for an artist who works with his own self is to give himself completely.
My first contact with horses was when I was six, my sister enjoyed her time at a riding school and I wanted in. So I started taking lessons and looking back I was quite fearless, there were a couple of horses who enjoyed bucking their way through the lessons with me bumping and laughing around on top. When I was 14 I was given my sisters horse because she was too busy with school and learned a lot from him, an Icelandic born gelding named Stormur, after he was diagnosed with a minor form of bone spavin I bought a younger and more fiestier horse named Hjartan, he was a small rig with a big heart. With Stormur still under my care I raised Hjartan and teached him the principles of horseback riding. After the first few steps of tölt in 2013 I got accepted at the academy of dramatic arts in Amsterdam and sold both. Now Hjartan is enjoying his time with a great owner, sometimes in the rink even, and Stormur is back within the family.
I can cook for a large group and I can clean a great deal. I specialized in general healthcare when I was in middle school and did an internship at an icelandic horse farm in the province of Friesland. It was at the stud farm Fjós Héri, I did minor tasks in and around the house. I cleaned the whole stable and fed the horses, I supervised the campgo'ers and went on horseback ride tours. I helped when the farrier came to trim the youngsters' hooves and at the same time we'd worm them.
I learned the basics of dressage at the riding school I attended when I was 6 till I was 13. After the riding school I learned everything from own experience. I was in contact with a lot of people who also worked with horses intensively, they were the ones I turned to whenever I felt the need to do so. I did groundwork, long rein work, dressage, tölt-training and general exercise.
