Duties of Current Occupation
I graduated in Veterinary Medicine in Brazil in 2016. Since then I've been working as animal physiotherapist - because in Brazil you need to be a vet to work as an animal physio. Postgraduated in Veterinary Acupuncture.
Equine Work Experience
I do not have much experience working with horses, but it's something that really delights me: working with animal behavior and in an environment where I can have contact with them all the time. I received a proposal to be working in Ireland as canine hydrotherapist but due to an unexpected situation it was not possible to stay there. Now I'm back to Holland trying to find another opportunity. I'd like also to validate my veterinary degree in The Netherlands, but it is something that takes some time. In the meantime, I'm looking for a position that allows me to work within my scope of practice.
Specialities
I enjoy working to high standards and doing my best to ensure the welfare of the animals. Despite not having much experience with horses, I'm experienced in working with animal behavior and as the owner of a pet hotel for 7 years in Brazil, I was used to lead a team. PhD in Functional and Molecular Biology, Centre for Pain Studies at the State University of Campinas (Brazil). Admission in 2018. (Not completed). Graduation in Veterinary Medicine at Jaguariúna University (Brazil) - 2012-2016.
Type of Ride Work
Regarding ride work, I'm still a beginner. I had some riding lessons and I'd like to learn much more. But I really like the empathy work that can be developed with a horse and the sensitivity they allow us to experience.
