Duties of Current Occupation
Since 2015, I have worked in the Netherlands in roles such as 3.5 years as a supermarket shelf stacker, a takeaway bicycle courier, a hotel housekeeper, and for the past 3 years as a customer service representative and florist in a supermarket.
Equine Work Experience
From the age of 6 to 18, I took dressage and vaulting lessons at a barn with 10 Fjord horses, run by an elderly woman. As I grew older, I became more involved in yard work and helping care for the animals. When the barn owner became ill, I transitioned to a new riding school where I began weekly dressage lessons with KWPN horses. Additionally, I spent a year assisting an acquaintance with their yearling draft horses until balancing this with university studies became challenging. Currently, I continue to take weekly dressage lessons, bi-weekly jumping lessons, and enjoy trail rides at different locations almost every other month.
Specialities
My strengths include being proactive, a dedicated hard worker, and having decent communication skills. As a customer service representative, I manage cashiers, oversee the department, and handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively. Throughout my career, I have balanced work alongside my studies, demonstrating time-management skills. While I have limited experience with stallions or foals, I am highly motivated and eager to learn new skills to expand my expertise
Type of Ride Work
I have primarily ridden flatwork horses, with some experience riding jumping horses.
Competition Details
Currently, I compete monthly at the riding school competitions held among students. Additionally, I participate annually in the Dutch Riding School Sitting Championships. I am eager to gain experience with yard work and grooming at a more professional competition yard compared to a riding school setting.
